Work With Us

At Forever Young People, we work with children, young people and families who are facing some of the most difficult periods of their lives. The people who make the biggest difference in this work aren’t always those with the longest CVs. They’re the ones who show up consistently, build real trust, and genuinely care about the young person in front of them.

A hands on administrative support role within a small and growing organisation. Forever Young People works closely with the local authority and schools supporting mentoring programmes, alternative provision, youth projects, and social care services. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager and CEO, trusted to manage your own workload, use your initiative, and proactively identify ways to improve how we work.

This is not a traditional youth mentoring role. You will provide 1:1 support to children and young people, often outside of mainstream education settings, working with those referred by Schools, Local Authorities, Social Care, and other professionals.

What the Work Involves

Our work spans mentoring, educational support, SEND provision, and community based youth work, and social care support. Depending on the role, you might be working one to one with a young person in the community, delivering alternative education, supporting a young person with additional needs, or working alongside families in their home.

Whatever the role, the work is relationship based. It requires patience, consistency, and the ability to build genuine trust over time. The young people we support may be experiencing emotional, behavioural, educational or social challenges and what makes the difference is having someone dependable, calm, and committed in their corner.

Sessions may take place during the day, evenings or weekends depending on the needs of the young person or family. We are looking for people who can offer some flexibility around this.

Forever Young People is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check, satisfactory references, and safeguarding checks prior to starting.
